The more than 360 items in this collection reflect building projects undertaken by the Goodwins that were supervised by T.A. Curtis from 1889 to 1893, including: specifications, contracts, monthly reports on work in progress sent to the Goodwins from Curtis, measurements, and comments on construction details. Buildings represented include: the Residence of Rev. Francis Goodwin, Woodside (the Goodwin family home), the Wadsworth Athenaeum, Trinity Church, a house on the corner of Brook and Fairmont Sts., the Putnam Phalanx Armory, a commercial building on the east corner of Asylum and Haynes St.(which was to be used for insurance rooms and stores), and a building on the west corner of Haynes and Pearl Sts.
